Bio

Asha Clearwater is an NCTJ* qualified journalist who has been creating engaging content for more than 30 years. She’s been a news reporter, features editor and arts editor, as well as editing a number of national business magazines. Today, Asha divides her time between coaching SMEs on the art of great storytelling to promote their products and services and producing written and digital content for her varied PR clients through her business Turquoise Tiger. Asha’s experience spans writing for local and regional press, breaking national news stories and even launching the world’s first interactive magazine for the ‘Twitterverse’, which drew her numerous accolades and awards nods as well as a bulging celebrity contacts book and a testimonial from none other than Stephen Fry. She has also managed PR, publicity, events and social media for national charities, a world champion sports star, a best selling author, a national veterinary chain and pretty much everything in between. Asha has been running her own PR, content coaching and consultancy business for more than 15 years. She occasionally freelances as a writer for national magazines, and she’s even behind some of the information boards you’ll find strolling through Woodland Trust forests. Pick up an information leaflet for a business or tourist attraction and you might even find she penned that too! *National Council for the Training of Journalists

The TED story

I've been fascinated by the many TEDx speakers I've seen online and last year went to my first TEDx event for real. It was a real eye opener and I loved it. I've always been passionate about bringing people/communities together for a common cause and TEDx offers us the amazing opportunity to do just that. I am so very excited and humbled to be awarded the license for TEDxPeterborough and every step so far has been an amazing one. I can't wait to share our incredible speakers with the world in 2019. Thank you TEDx!
