Bio
I'm Arushi Kumar, a second year Management Student at McGill University in Montreal. I have grown up places such as Poland, Switzerland and Brazil, but Canada is my home. I am currently studying business strategy with a hope to pursue a minor in sustainability management. I am currently the co-president of the Indian Students' Association of McGill University, where I work with my team to plan and execute charity galas, cultural events and collaborative events with other clubs to promote inclusive and fun experiences for the McGill community.
I'm passionate about
The piano and Violin -- I love music! I also enjoy exploring innovations in environmental sustainability. I am also passionate about the kids I worked with in India at a school at which I volunteered as a 6th Grade Class Assistant, they have so much potential! It feels great to help give back and allow them the chance to fulfill their potential and help break the poverty cycle.
An idea worth spreading
I think environmental sustainability, and innovations being made in the area are worth spreading! A cool concept to check out is zero-carbon buildings!
The TED story
I have always loved watching TED and TEDx Talks, and recently volunteered at TEDx McGill. Loved the experience! It was mentally stimulating, informative and it felt good to be able to help bring such an innovative platform to our university and start conversations campus-wide about the future!
