Samyukta Singh is a current Master of Healthcare Administration Student (’24) at Cornell University and a recipient of the Sloan Fellowship Award. She was born in India, raised in Singapore for 13 years and completed her high school in Sugar Land, TX. She graduated from University of Texas at Austin in 2020 with a degree in Human Biology, a certificate in Health Informatics and Health Information Technology and a certificate in Social Inequality, Health and Policy. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she spent a year and a half working for an Electronic Health Record (EHR) company, where she provided up-front solutions to clients implementing new EHRs and focused on increasing patient engagement, telemedicine, and self-scheduling services. Samyukta is very interested in opportunities that push her to explore the intersections between medicine and technology as well as the socio-cultural, political and economic effects of healthcare business and policy decisions. She would like to use her skills and experiences in the future to partake in increasing patient equity, decreasing human errors, improving clinical outcomes and facilitating better care coordination for everyone. She currently serves as an Associate of Speaker Curation for the Women in Healthcare Leadership organization and is excited to work at a boutique healthcare consulting firm as an associate in the summer of 2023!
