I was a clinical instructor of small animal surgery at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine for two years before joining VSA (new name Sage; centers for veterinary specialty and emergency care)in 1994. An idea worth spreading

One medicine reflects the fact that the health of one species is intertwined with many others and humans are not immune to or somehow above this. As a small animal specialist, I see animals cope with illness and disabilities with inspirational grace and spirit.
