Bio
I study how trauma, coercion, and intimidation change people—and how, sometimes, they still manage to tell the truth anyway. I also evaluate the cognitive and emotional consequences of brain injury, neurotoxin exposure, etc. It’s heavy, but it feels worthwhile.
I'm passionate about
I’m good at helping people recognize and resist subtle coercion so they can give more accurate medical or legal testimony.
An idea worth spreading
I’m here to have 3–5 good conversations - possibly in mediocre French or Portuguese.
Areas of expertise
brain injury, neuroscience, neurotoxicology, psychopharmacology, PTSD
The TED story
My background is a slightly ridiculous four advanced degrees across neuroscience and psychology, and my day job is testifying in court about how violence and trauma shape people’s minds and communities.
Things you might not know
Finding good hotels. Painting.
