I am Director of Events in the External Relations division at Bar Ilan University. In past years I structured the Alumni Association at the University. Tagging over 100,000 Bar Ilan alumni exposed me to the great minds the University has contributed to create. I enjoyed building something new, meeting new people helping the younger generation find jobs and walking them through the first steps of their career. Structuring the Alumni Association got me thinking about communities and how bringing people together can cultivate into positive change that shapes our future. An inseparable part of the Alumni Association was connecting mentors to fresh graduates inspiring them to accomplish things they never thought they could do. Working with people is what motivates me, I love getting off my chair and hearing different thoughts and ideas. Recently we've been working on the Europe Researchers night in Israel, a world class event exposing breakthroughs in science through a thought-provoking night hosting the worlds top thinkers and doers. Through the process of organizing this event I was amazed by the unbelievable breakthrough's that were born in Bar Ilan University and in other research institutions around the world all while drawing in curious attendees that wanted to hear and discover more and more. Before pursuing my career in Bar Ilan I was an editor in Channel 2 news. I've always loved hearing the latest news especially Global Issues, Environmental issues and Economics. Being exposed to content nonstop helped me develop a type of curiosity and enhanced a sense for new information. An integral part of my studies beforehand was joining an extra curricular organization called stand-with-us. Stand With Us is an Israeli organization devoted to Israels national image worldwide. We structured groups of 5 that had to come up with ideas that will help build Israels positive image worldwide. We ended up building a project that brought Israel 20 young scientists from various Universities cross-Europe to Bar Ilan University to meet the leading researchers in the their field of studies all while also exposing them to Israeli culture. I pursued my MA in Political science & communication and recently completed my MBA. I have a strong passion for all kinds of sports. I am a certified gym instructor, spinning instructor and snow board instructor, even though there's actually almost no snow in Israel. I'm excited coming to TED and l'm looking forward organizing our own amazing BarIlanUniveristy TEDx event next year.
