Bio

I’m a psychologist and lifelong explorer of the human mind, endlessly curious about what drives our thoughts, feelings, and connections. I love uncovering insights that reveal how we relate to one another, and I’m passionate about translating ideas—through storytelling, conversation, and shared experiences—into moments that inspire reflection, growth, and genuine connection.

I'm passionate about

exploring the human mind and the dynamics of relationships, while creating spaces where people feel truly seen and connected. Through my years of co-organizing TEDxIzmir, I’ve learned the power of bringing people together around ideas that matter and curating conversations that inspire change. At the heart of it all, I believe in the transformative potential of psychology, storytelling, and innovative ideas to shape individuals and communities for the better.

An idea worth spreading

I believe that empathy, curiosity, and understanding ourselves and others are the keys to building meaningful connections and a more compassionate world. By bringing people together around ideas that inspire, challenge, and transform, we can unlock collective creativity and drive positive change. Sharing stories and exploring the human mind empowers both individuals and communities to grow, thrive, and embrace the potential of ideas worth spreading.

The TED story

My TED journey began in December 2016 at TEDxMETUAnkara, where I was inspired by the power of ideas. Motivated by this experience, I became involved in the 2017 event’s communication efforts, supporting speakers and behind-the-scenes coordination. By May 2018, TEDxAlsancak brought together 3,000 attendees, and the license soon evolved into TEDxIzmir, which has since hosted a series of thought-provoking, meaningful, and impactful events. Across TEDxAlsancak and TEDxIzmir, the conferences thrived through the collaborative energy, vision, and guidance of the teams behind them, with contributions from those who played an active role in shaping, coordinating, and leading the events throughout every stage. In 2019, the TEDxIzmirWomen license was established, highlighting women’s empowerment and gender equality—causes close to my heart as a woman and psychologist. Though my professional role with TEDxIzmir ended in September 2024, the inspiration, connections, and collective creativity nurtured throughout this journey remain a lifelong part of me.

Things you might not know

reading between the lines and understanding what people truly need, even when they can’t express it. I also excel at bringing people together, managing complex projects behind the scenes, and turning ideas into memorable experiences. On top of that, I have a knack for connecting seemingly unrelated ideas, spotting hidden patterns, and sparking creativity in both myself and others.
