Nancy Iraba, is a marine biologist, Divemaster and a science communicator, she is Lead organizer of TEDxOysterbay, from her being a scientist with a wider range of activities she realized that there are so many untold stories, facts, ideas and knowledge that has to be shared across disciplines for the world to be a better place. She believes that TEDxOysterbay is a platform for local people to share their ideas with local people and across the globe. She is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Healthy Seaweed Cafe (https://healthyseaweedcafe.co.tz/). She is as well the founder and CEO of Paddafelis events, a company that envisages technology, experience and outcome for corporate events.

I am passionate in indulging with fellow youth and females in making them discover their full potential and hidden opportunities around them. as well as giving back to the communities through sharing experiences with people from diverse backgrounds. As a Divemaster and Oceanprenuer building ocean sustainable bussinesses, am passionate about marine conservation and blue economy

The opportunity I had to volunteer at Ted global in 2017 when it took place in Africa ( Arusha, Tanzania ) has been eye-opening and a life changing experience.Having had volunteered as an inside theater usher, i was exposed to the talks which broadly widen my scope of thinking to a great extent unto different scopes of my life, physically, mentally and spiritually. TEDglobal2017 stirred unshattered spirits in me that am certain would last for a longtime, and it is the same spirit that i want to deliver to my community, i believe undoubtedly, it will be a source of long term development to my community and whole Dar es salaam people at large.
