I'm a little Seth Godin +Tim Ferris meets Deepak with a splash of Jon Stewart-but a girl. My studies includes a Bachelor of Communication Studies/Visual Arts & a Bachelor of Education. My 20+ year fitness career evolved as a group fitness instructor/trainer, manager, competitor and eventually health club owner. As a passionate teacher I let my path further evolve into corporate education. I am a devoted wife and the mother of two lovely children. In 2006, at the age of 38, I was diagnosed with stage II Breast Cancer. As with all of my life experiences, I have embraced this one to look for the opportunities for growth and education. I try and remember balance is not a destination but a way of being.

I have always been intrigued with the way human beings communicate and react to information. This fascination started at a young age. Now as a grown up, I have more depth and intention to my work and there is a specific reaction I am after. Now my medium is information. I love to use technology to create multi-media pieces to create a reaction in those who are paying attention. TED to me embodies embodies everything I am about. From the moment I entered the site, I felt at home.

I am the only avid gardener that could spend all day in my garden as long as I have my gloves on and don't have to touch any bugs.
