Raised in the mossy forests of Salem, Oregon, Nick Swope is an enthusiastic adventurer who is using his vision and creativity to take public health by storm from Mongolia to the mountains of Idaho. He has public health promotion and education experience, and believes in the power of a culture of quality improvement. His passion lies in the use of innovative programs to reach new and under-served target populations.

I am driven by a passion for public health and the idea that there is always room for improvement.

I have been listening to TED since my senior year of undergrad back in 2008. It opened my world to learning powerful bits of information in 12 min segments. I watched the start of TEDx and decided (with a friend) to launch a TEDxCoeurdAlene in our town. Our first year was 2016 and have had a sold out crowd ever since. I how my mind feels when I can discuss and talk about ideas.
