An idea worth spreading

Due to technological advancements most are taking the leap of faith into entrepreneurship and home schooling. With this new digital current comes the fall of big box brands and shopping malls as well as our social life - My idea is to convert shopping malls into social environment hubs for families to learn & work together, from offering hot-desking, networking spaces, vendor spaces, classes, exercise space, innovation areas, living space, resources, etc

Areas of expertise

Communication, Community, Design, Heritage, Real Estate, Sustainability

The TED story

From a blinkered society on a diet of mainstream media, TED brought relief and awe to my yearning for pioneering ideas, helping to waft away the curtain of fog to reveal a landscape of knowledge and inspiration from all who dare to stand up for the things they believed in. Straight from the experts mouth, rather than a vague statistic backing up a research article "Said expert", TED had brought a stage to empower the people both through expression and by listening. The short addictive talks pull you into their twists, opening our minds to possibilities and solutions that we may not have seen otherwise. After religiously watching these perspective-changing TEDxTalks and TEDTalks for many years, I was eager to bring this platform to the Pensacola Bay Area, seeking out the idea starters, the dreamers and movers and shaker who could help inspire the growth of our community, while shedding light for better communication. TEDx has enabled me to delve deeper into the dimension of innovation thinking, meeting forward-thinking trail-blazers along the way.

Things you might not know

Visualizing the potential of; a system, a physical space, a person, event, or of the future. Until recently, I thought everyone had this gift. It's a muscle I built from a young age while everyone else in the classroom endured the monotone voice of a school teacher, and while brought up on a remote farm in Scotland to learn about Self Sustainability from Worldly, creative and successful parents.
