Bio

Haylee Reay is an advocate for domestic violence. She was born to two parents - one loving and one abusive. As a result, she was a victim of domestic violence at a young age. Since 2008 she has taken every opportunity to speak out to and on behalf of domestic violence victims. She has spoken at numerous community events and to thousands of middle and high school students across the country. She served on the Fremont County Domestic Violence Panel in 2009. From 2011 to 2016, she was on the National Youth Advisory Board for loveisrespect, the partnership between Break the Cycle and the National Domestic Violence Hotline, an organization dedicated to promoting healthy relationships. She received the 2011 Award from Family Violence and Victim Service Providers for her efforts to raise awareness for Domestic Violence in Fremont County, Wyoming. In 2016, she gave a popular TEDx talk at TEDxCheyenne, reaching over ten thousand views. Now, while involved full-time in a professional career, she still passionately involves herself in domestic violence awareness programs and continues to encourage the community to become more aware of domestic violence by organizing demonstrations, candle light vigils and other community activities.
