Bio

Ravi Chhatpar is Founder and Partner of Dalberg’s Design Impact Group (DIG), where he brings human-centered design and systems thinking to clients looking for creative approaches to breakthrough innovation and expanded collaboration in social impact and international development. He is passionate about championing the end user, bringing their hopes, aspirations and experiences to the forefront to inform decision-makers, inspire innovation and drive positive change. He builds and leads multidisciplinary teams to tackle the challenging, ambiguous and open-ended problems that face underserved communities around the world using a range of research, design, prototyping and development methodologies. His client portfolio includes experience with global multinationals, foundations, start-ups and non-profits across sectors, including financial inclusion / financial services, agriculture, public health, mobile and technology, education and employment, and media. He regularly shares his passion, perspectives and projects at major conferences, events, design and business schools, workshops and in media. Before Dalberg, Ravi was Executive Strategy Director at frog design focused on emerging markets in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Out of a 10-year career at frog, he spent 2 years in Uganda and South Africa building frog’s innovation offering in Africa and 6+ years in China as Founder of frog Shanghai building frog’s Asian presence. In prior lives, Ravi split his career between Tokyo and New York, working at start-ups, as a management consultant and in private equity. Ravi has an AB in Biology and Economics from Harvard University.
