Bio
I am a digital strategist for Group SJR, a digital agency in Manhattan that works with a variety of innovation and design focused clients to create and pixelate cool ideas. In the past I've been an interface designer, interactive programmer and writer for a range of corporate-to-non-profit companies and publications. I'm an emeritus board member with New Media Consortium, an Austin-based research and advisory group that works with universities, K-12 and learning focused institutions (from Apple to the SF MoMA) to explore how emerging technologies can be applied to learning; and I'm on the board of Visual Thinking Solutions, an LA-based organization that researches how art education can build visual language development and linguistic-cognitive skills, particularly for English as a second language students.
I'm passionate about
How emerging technologies shape culture, design and learning: the intersections between our digital and analog worlds.
An idea worth spreading
The more replication, remix, copying and mass production of a thing takes place, the more value people will put on the original of the thing itself. Reproduction doesn't diminish value, it enhances it.
The TED story
I've always admired and appreciated TED. Being able to work as TED's agency of record is one of those great convergences of personal and professional interests.
Things you might not know
Biomechanics. Evaluating, studying and analyzing the intersections that are possible between biology and mechanics will be my next career.
