Andrew joined Herschend in September of 2007 as a Corporate Vice President. In 2008, he moved into the role of Chief Financial Officer and had responsibility for all finance and information technology within the company. He was promoted to his current role as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2015. Herschend is a family of companies focused on family entertainment, including theme parks, water parks, aquariums, live event tours and children’s animation. Herschend’s properties include large attractions such as Dollywood Parks and Resorts, smaller experiences such as Callaway Gardens, Vancouver Aquarium, Newport Aquarium (Cincinnati) and Adventure Aquarium (Philadelphia); as well as intimate, guided experiences with Pink Adventure Tours; but it all started as a cave tour and theme park in Missouri, Silver Dollar City - Home of the American Craftsman. Herschend acquired the Harlem Globetrotters in 2013, expanding their out-of-home entertainment capabilities with arena tours and currently has two animated shows airing world wide (Chuggington and Splash & Bubbles). Andrew earned a BBA and Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Georgia and obtained his MBA from the Harvard Business School where he graduated as a George F. Baker Scholar (High Distinction). His work experience includes time at Arthur Andersen and McKinsey & Company. Andrew was a co-founder and the Chief Financial Officer of Derivion, a pioneer in internet-based billing.
