I write and publish researches on African history and historical art. I am from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. In 2021 I got first prize from the African Book Club for my essay on BBC journalist, Michael Peel's book, A Swamp Full of Dollars. My essays and stories are published in some of Africa's most reputable literary journals and magazines, including The Republic, Lolwe Magazine and the Inaugural Anthology of the Abuja Literary Festival. I am an Engineer by training and hold a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island. Nevertheless, I am an advocate of climate change and have traveled across many of Nigeria's cities advocating responsible action. As a result, I was a project head and board member of Youth 4 Climate Action Project headquartered in the Fiji Islands and regional organizer of the Open Dialogues on Climate Change International (now Open Dialogues On) in Nigeria.

I have learnt from one of favourite TED talks, The Danger of a Single Story, by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, that no people are two-dimensional and as much as we try to invite people into the multiple stories that define us individually and collectively, it is important for us to never assume insight of a people from just one source or point of view, no matter how reliable. The danger here is that the more a people are looked at in a kind of way, the more they realise their lives in that kind of way.
