Brian Bartlett is a communications strategist whose experience stretches across the highest levels of politics, government and business. Brian provides strategic communications counsel to leaders at some of the largest corporations, trade groups, non-profits and advocacy organizations in the country. He also creates and leads communications campaigns on their behalf which are designed to influence public policy decision making and to shape opinions about issues of national concern. Brian served as the War Room Director on Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign, and worked for Romney’s Free and Strong America political action committee and as the Senior Advance Representative for Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign. His political campaign experience also includes positions with Scott Brown’s 2010 U.S. Senate campaign and Bob McDonnell’s 2009 gubernatorial campaign, both of which were victorious. Brian has also held a number of public service positions, having worked in The White House for both President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, in the U.S. Senate for Senator Scott Brown, and in the U.S. Department of Labor under Secretary Elaine Chao. Most recently, Brian was Managing Director, Co-Founder, and Global Corporate Affairs Practice Chair at Rational 360; he also previously worked in the corporate and public affairs practice at Ketchum. In both roles, he advised C-suite executives and managed public affairs, crisis and litigation communications efforts for Fortune 500 companies, leading industry trade groups and other organizations. A sought-after voice on all things politics, policy and Washington, Brian has been cited by or appeared as an on-air commentator with media organizations including Reuters, Fox Business, MSNBC, POLITICO, PBS, The Hill, Scripps, and more. An Illinois native, Brian is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, received his Master of Public Policy at Georgetown University, and his Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with Honors from Indiana University.
