I had my first contact with TED, when my husband, at the time a magazine writer, already familiar with the TED platform, went to write an article about TEDxSãoPaulo. At the time he needed a photographer and I said that I would shoot for his magazine, but TEDxSãoPaulo informed us that it was not possible to take exclusive photographers and that I could go but if I photographed for the entire event, and provided all the photos. That was the year 2014 if I'm not mistaken. I was on a mission to photograph the event and I fell in love with the proposal and became part of the TEDxSãoPaulo community. For the next five years I never left TEDx. I participated as Artistic Director of TEDxSãoPaulo, helping Elena in all events held in these years. In 2018 I also participated in TEDFEST in NEW YORK, where I was fortunate to meet many organizers from around the world, with whom we have contact to this day. Last year, during the pandemic, I asked for a Countdown license, because I believe that we Brazilians have a very strong mission, to protect our Biodiversity. in the world. So, in my view, TEDxCOUNTDOWN has the mission of bringing communities together so that these topics are discussed and the best practices for this to happen are spread. Being part of the TEDx community, and above all being deeply grateful, but at the same time, being responsible for all the content that will be spread. My English is not very good.
