About Steve

Bio

I never thought I'd work at a big company. From a young age I've had a ton of interests and passions. I was fascinated by the way that technology could be used to connect people, help them develop and maintain authentic relationships, engender empathy, and through great content increase human knowledge and potential. Shortly after graduating from college and while studying for the LSATs, I started working at an Apple Retail Store. After a few months I was recruited out to Cupertino as a part of a special program designed by Steve Jobs and then VP of Retail Ron Johnson. Abandoning all Law School plans, I joined Apple's Education Team where I helped build iTunes U which was at one point the worlds largest repository of free educational content. I got the chance to be an early champion of the "open educational resources" and "mobile learning" movement and work with Colleges and University, Museums, Libraries, Public Radio Affiliates, around the world. In June 2014, I moved over to Apple's Podcast team where I managed Editorial and Partner Relations and helped kick off the new "podcasts boom." I'm currently looking after marketing for Apple Podcasts. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Went to a small college where I studied Philosophy and met my wife. We have two boys 7 & 4 years old.

I'm passionate about

how technology can increase human knowledge and potential. Storytelling

An idea worth spreading

Radio is going through the same linear to on-demand transition that Movies, TV, and Apps all went through. Podcasts are the most social social network. The intimacy of the medium and the new ways people listening are just kicking off a new kind of storytelling.
