Kim is currently a feature film producer, with a background in journalism and the conflict resolution area of human rights, as well as philanthropy and as a private investor. She is currently producing a feature film , with Martin Scorsese and Ann Druyan, based on a memoir of a blind hero of the French Resistance in WWII.; and, with Ted Hope, coproducing a U.S./Asian thriller. She is Executive Vice Chair of the Hampton’s International Film Festival; and Co-Chair and founder of Films of Conflict & Resolution section, where she oversees an international advisory board in the development and production of a juried section of films from conflict zones of the world. This includes liaison work with affiliates and development of ongoing programs. She also established an annual award for “An Inspirational Film” Kim has recently joined the advisory board for Save the Childrens' HEART project, which utilizes art therapy with pre-school aged children suffering from trauma in conflict zones. Kim is also a board member of the Creative Visions Foundation, based in LA, which supports the work of creative activists in film and media. She is assisting in the development of several feature films with this organization. She is also currently a partner with a an investment firm which is structuring a film investment fund. Kim had been a grantsmaker and member of the Threshold Foundation, where she reviewed, and funded cutting edge non-profits that focused on peace and national security issues, with an emphasis on projects that dealt with conflict resolution, violence prevention, prison reform and military issues. Prior to that she was acting director of the Coexistence Center at Baruch College School of Public Affairs, where she served as a consultant on the Center's creation, development and ongoing projects. And she was a conference coordinator for Economists Allied for Arms Reduction, : Earth Day NY:, and the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights. At the RFK Center, she worked with Kerry Kennedy, to create a series of conferences and meetings for international R.F.K. Human Rights Award laureates. and coordinated 8 national conferences, titled "A Vision for America", to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Robert Kennedy's presidential campaign. She began her career as a general assignment reporter and investigative journalist at the Philadelphia Inquirer.
