Bio

Reginald Browne, a senior executive in the exchange traded funds industry (ETFs), is the chief architect of the distribution model for ETFs by professional market participants. Reginald runs a global franchise and is one of the most recognizable participants in the industry. Reginald, an early pioneer in the ETF industry, widely known as “The Godfather of ETFs” because of his influence helping to grow the industry in the United States. ETFs, a basket of marketable securities that typically tracks an index and can be traded like stocks, now account for over one third of the daily trading value on US Stock exchanges. One of his most notable achievements, solving a ETF distribution and capital market liquidity problem in Chile, Colombia and Peru. Reginald has more than three decades of Wall Street experience and has diverse interest tightly woven across commerce, financial democracy, community development and global inclusion. In addition to professional leadership, Reginald has a full roster of civic engagement in the areas of artistic inclusion and education. Reginald currently sits on the Boards of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia, McCarter Theater in Princeton NJ, The Boy Scouts of New York City, Catalog for Giving in New York and a trustee of his Alma mater, La Salle University in Philadelphia where he earned a degree in business administration. Reginald has interest in: Developing artistic equity ventures to level the field of access to museum curatorial fellowships and residential internships to regional public theaters. In addition to artistic expression innovation, Reginald has a passion for urban neighborhood restoration and open space preservation on Martha’s Vineyard.
