Bio

Melinda Sacks is Director of Media Initiatives for the Stanford University Office of Public Affairs, and producer/curator of TEDxStanford. She develops multi-media programs to share content from across the university with the world beyond campus. In her role she has produced The Roundtable at Stanford University, a Reunion Homecoming Weekend highlight featuring a world-class panel of multidisciplinary experts on topics such as climate change, education reform, world affairs and our aging population. The Roundtable attracts an audience of up to 4,000 and is broadcast on PBS. This year, Melinda launched Stanford Radio in collaboration with SiriusXM. She is the curator and executive producer of TEDxStanford. Before coming to Stanford, Melinda worked as a television producer for ABC and CBS in San Francisco, and as an award-winning reporter for the San Jose Mercury News, where she wrote about education, news, family, community and social issues. Melinda loves bringing together great people with great ideas to tackle the most pressing issues and tell the most important stories of the day. TEDxStanford is the ideal platform to do this.
