I have lived in or around Salt Lake City my entire life. I love the mountains, the seasons and the people here. What a gorgeous place to call home! I am a marketing manager by trade, which fits my personality perfectly as I like to plan events, talk to people and help make all the moving pieces fall together to make something great happen. I am married, have 2 boys and love the Utah Utes football season, traveling, reading, my dog Fernando, going to movies, meeting new people and eating good food.

Cultivating the community and world for my boys. Feeding their curiosity and being their "tour guide" through life. Showing them love and diversity. And I love to travel, internationally and domestically. Different cultures are so fantastic to experience.

"Give them the benefit of the doubt." "Walk a mile in their shoes." As time has gone by, I have realized that you never really know what makes people behave the way they do. Is it the way they were raised? Is it in their DNA? Is it just the day they're having or a life situation that they went through or are currently experiencing? I find myself reminding myself and my 2 boys that people are the way they are for a multitude of reasons and for that reason - we shouldn't be quick to judge them. Maybe they just got married! Maybe they had to put their dog down this morning. Maybe they just lost a job - or got a new one! You never really know, so be kind. Just be kind.

I just really discovered TED in the last few years. I am flabbergasted at how many topics/ideas have been talked about via TED. I love the one about "Power Poses" by Amy Cuddy. I literally use what she talked about at least 1-2 times a month before doing something that makes me nervous. I was so excited to learn that there are individually organized TED events in different cities (TEDx) and I am thrilled to be serving on the Organizing Committee for TEDxSaltLakeCity.
