Bio
I'm a climate scientist at Columbia University and NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies. I use computer models and satellite observations to study past, current, and future climate changes. I got my PhD in theoretical physics and studied the whole Universe before I realized that really, the Earth is the only good part. In addition to my scientific work I've taught in prison, spoken at TED, Story Collider, and Drunk Science, and written things for On Being, Nautilus Magazine, and Scientific American.
I'm passionate about
telling stories about science and life
An idea worth spreading
The climate is changing. It's scary. It's our fault. But we have choices.
