I'm passionate about
Learning, growing and living life to the fullest while challenging (and being challenged by) my community to do the same.
Current obsessions include but are not limited to the following—experimenting with AI-supported design, rediscovering chess, improving my Korean, designing my mom's memoir and exploring my leadership style.
An idea worth spreading
"Ideas are easy."
The idea I find worthy of spreading may be a direct critique of the prompt itself. In a world with a surplus of ideas and effectively zero cost to share them, do we really need more?
I'm grounded by two quotes discovered years ago but still informative in my day-to-day:
"Ideas are easy. Execution is difficult. People are everything." — Unknown source. (I originally heard this from a talk by John Doerr where he was speaking about his approach to hiring people for startups).
"It’s the disease of thinking that a having a great idea is really 90 percent of the work. And if you just tell people, ‘here’s this great idea,’ then of course they can go off and make it happen. The problem with that is that there’s a tremendous amount of craftsmanship between a having a great idea and having a great product." — Steve Jobs, 1995.
These quotes underscore values I try my best to live by—discipline that feeds my daily work ethic; teamwork that yields deeper collaboration through vulnerability; and attention to detail that guides execution without comprising the original vision.

The TED story
is at an inflection point. As a long-time fan, I've oscillated between awe and uncertainty of TED's impact. As a first-time attendee and a Vanguard Fellow, I hope to resolve personal questions about TED's cultural and societal relevance.
