Nick majored in Math and Music at one of top public schools in Baltimore Northwestern H.S., 2nd succeeding in the classroom transcended winning writing awards from the Veterans, Maryland Scholar Athlete Award Winner and excelling in Track and Football recruited to more than 30 colleges. Attended University of Wisconsin as one of the first Computer Science Major and playing a major sport in the Big Ten. Nominated Academic-All Big Ten and member of Men of the Iron Cross Society. Performed in major productions as well acting in David Rabe’s “Streamers”, tutored and Volunteered Conflict sensitivity training for the Madison Police Department before leaving to pursue pro sports or business. World of Technology Tragedy struck in 1986 as Nick lost his hero and champion his Dad, Edward, moving from that day forward into community leadership and the computer industry; Nick moved with a vengeance by channelling his “heartache” by flying abroad and becoming the World Trade Expert for the IBM team and spreading the new system to 32 countries before rapidly moving to manage the team products weekly with the likes of Steve Ballmer and the great Bill Gates. In future years he developed a reputation as the “Mr. Wolf” like the character depicted in the movie “Pulp Fiction” by quietly working at smaller and larger companies taking on the multimillion dollar commercial and government projects that seemed destined for doom and covertly “flipping them” to success by building timeless teams and products to last culminating with sales for Top Fortune 1000 firms and in two cases acquisitions by (GRC) AT& T and (Vastera) J.P. Morgan. Since then he has consulted for firms requiring Business Development, IT Enterprise, Management Big Data, Cyber, DOD and Healthcare experience.

I'm a normal guy passionate about TED & TEDx type ingredients - leveraging technology, music, fitness, reading, learning, writing, most importantly seeing fresh face of youth or the young thought in an old mind that has an AHA moment or an idea that drips slowly changing their plight for an instance, for moment or a lifetime. I truly believe in trying to eradicate assumptions, apathy and champion those thought leaders that believe they have an idea or concept worth spreading leading to an action not rhetoric to ignite change to make an impact around the world if supported by others. Thought leaders and innovators are so powerful in so many ways but sometimes doubt the finding that active agent to ignite the flame. I love seeing that undiscovered positive side of people that many may not see. Once we learn to collaborate and act, we will truly change the world!

Catching the Tale of Lightning - Igniting Change! DESCRIPTION Ideas and unbounded thoughts (i.e., The Gifts) fly through our heads daily. By the millisecond, we try to capture the next great words or thoughts that inspire action, as well as learn from the people that can change us or give us a better understanding of WHO we are and our relationship to the Cosmos and each other. As avid fans of history with ideas born through the eyes of the great pathfinders (Franklin, Gates, Jobs, Tesla, Banneker, Curie, Ali, Mandela, Michelangelo, da Vinci, Galileo, The Roosevelts, King, Angelou, etc.), we want to reveal the undiscovered pathfinders we see everyday. To see an idea hatched by man, child or woman change the world by harnessing the energy to create exponential growth is a priceless gift. This requires the forethought to harness a power that is always around us daily, while possessing the ability to envision the mainstream benefits. On this day we will celebrate the new designers, innovators, artists and their plans, and help them execute and share their words, music, and ideas so that others see the vision to create an unstoppable force. In the end - Aspire to Inspire the next new positive unimaginable thought that leads to a impactful immeasurable action.

Honestly, I'll never forget the day I attended the TedXTysons event. It was catalyst to have me look deeper into the TED and TEDx library to extend my philosophy in life, how I raised my kids, expressed views using talks as examples to highlight my own personal thoughts on spirituality, music, business, leadership, technology, science, and the essential "What Ifs in life" when looked through a different perspective or prism. The TEDx Tysons talk by the young lady altering the world thru providing menstrual pads inserted into sport shorts was awe inspiring. The care in which she took stitching them initially herself for the villages to speaking there that day and sharing her JOY and excitement as she awaited relationships with manufacturers was riveting. The words by Aaron Black on his Predictive Analysis work with INOVA mobile devices was interesting but when Aaron wove the story with his personal journey with his Dad's tragic heart attack kept us on the edge of our seat as he shared his vision to provide smartphone and new technologies that can let our family members prevent the heart attack and notify us before it happens. Most importantly, we waited in anticipation to hear about the plight of his father with not one dry in the house including my own. The storytelling was unbelievable. I also participated in the after TEDx activities and meeting Aaron's Dad. The Music interpretation event with duet that crafted an innovative use of interpretive dance with technology was amazing. It was truly UNFORGETTABLE and gave me the courage to pursue hosting an event an pursuing a license in the Theme of Change! The local event changed my life and introduced me to new people with fresh thoughts in the area. My goal? Learn more about myself and others while developing new exciting events in our area that give me a fresh perspective in every phase of my life; Most importantly become apart of the TED and TEDx family and culture invigorates the sleepy town in which I live and the transactional based mindset of the D.C., Md., and Va. (DMV) that dominates the narrative. My favorite talks are my favorite because they focus on the positive forces of Mankind while projecting that the unachievable can be achieved by dissecting complex issues or the state of humanity into clear, precise language, thought, and simplicity that compel you to act.

Being a frustrated musician, great Dancer and an All-Star singer in the shower. Watching and listening to great movies and music a thousand times and still laughing or crying at the same parts I know are coming!
