Jose Chinchilla

Jose chinchilla is the organizer of TEDxSwinfordPark, the first TEDx event in La Ceiba, Honduras. At the age of 19, he organized and introduced this event to his community with the purpose of presenting new ideas for the development of the community. Jose Chinchilla has a business major from CEUTEC university and has a film production and Digital marketing diplomate. As the creator of Carpe Diem Productions, his vision is to organize cultural events in Honduras to promote art, music, and encourage film production. In 2018 he started working on media as a news presenter at 45tv, a local channel in La Ceiba and is currently working on his master's degree in proyect management.

I wanted to create a platform for my community were young people could listen to the ideas that I would have liked to listen when I was in highschool. Living in a small city where not much is going on, was really hard to have role models and be exposed to movements, inventions, ideas, or art. TEDx gave me the platform i needed to bring those ideas in a very friendly and innovative format that allowed me to share the great ideas and expose the amazing minds that live in my community.
