Having obtained a Bsc, Msc and PhD in Aeronautical Engineering, I went into Physics teaching to suit the needs of my family. I now teach Physics and STEAM and lead the Excellence Programme at the John Lyon School, Harrow, UK.

At the John Lyon School, together with my colleague Maria Trafford we established and run the Excellence Programme. This is a programme that replaces the Gifted and Talented Programme with a more inclusive approach including pupils who achieve high academic results but also are motivated. When I was asked to run a TEDx event for our School, I thought that was an un-achievable dream. However, we have made it happen, and I couldn't be prouder of TEDxJohnLyonSchool. All speakers did us proud. It was no minor task getting the speakers ready and the event itself, but it was a very rewarding experience.
