The TED story
As with many TED fans, my TED story began with an incessant consumption of inspiring Ideas Worth Spreading videos. Curious if TED has an interest in Singapore, a string of search terms got me connected with TEDxSingapore in 2009.
I was willing to do anything to get involved. "I can clear the trash" was one of the talents stated in my submission to be part of the team. And it became a hallmark of my involvement in the TEDx community.
What began as a passion to serve as lead curator over two events led me to TEDActive in 2011. The power of ideas and the convergence of other captivating, passionate TEDx organisers around the world was life changing.
As a then-startup business owner, the connection, conversations and raw authenticity between the attendees over the fireplace, red couches and shared pools rejuvenated my soul. I was determined to bring this back to my community.
For this cause, TEDxSingapore builds on the tenets of people, passion & purpose.
