Bio

Stephanie Baptist is a Brooklyn based curator, cultural producer and editor. She has recently established Medium Things, a new art gallery and incubator designed to strengthen art and commerce. Stephanie received an MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths University of London. She is Art and Editorial Director of forthcoming publication Asiko (2017) and has previously served as Program Director for En Foco a non profit photography organization dedicated to cultural diversity and as Head of Exhibitions and Public Programs for Tiwani Contemporary an art gallery dedicated to African and diasporan art in London. Stephanie has edited a number of publications such as Rotimi-Fani Kayode (1955-1989), Mary Evans: Cut and Paste, Barbara Walker: As Seen and Where We Meet: Cultural Translation and Art in Social Transformation for IFA Institute in Berlin. She has also been contributing editor for online platforms Another Africa and Contemporary And.
