I have been working in the area of mental health and social enterprise in Australia and the UK for the last 15 years and am passionate about using the market to solve complex social problems. Overall, alongside the local community we have established more than ten mental health related social enterprises. In the area of mental health delivery, I am excited about programs that help build new community connection pathways for people who have become socially isolated with a particular focus on employment. My current work includes the development of a large scale commercial laundry and career development center that provides career development opportunities for the long term unemployed with an experience of mental illness and a Prison employment program which runs a variety of projects from a graphic design company called Barbed to construction of large scale steel stud frames..
