Deborah has profiled many of the world’s top talent and identified the secrets to their success, as business people and as human beings. It is this knowledge, as well as her understanding on the broader impact of business in today’s world, that enable her to be a catalyst for change.
Seeing a need to create organisations for the future, Deborah left the structured corporate world to help shape new responsible leaders. Today, she works with and advises family groups and the next generation on personal governance, responsible leadership and building sustainable organisations.
Deborah has had a number of articles published on Leadership and Talent, and is currently conducting research on her first book, Leaders With No Ties. She is a regular speaker at conferences on the subjects of Talent, Leadership and Succession Planning. Deborah is also the Curator of TEDxValletta, part of TED’s independent global initiative to share ideas worth spreading.
Deborah holds a degree in Psychology and Business Studies, and is a professionally certified coach. She is an NLP practitioner, a Situational Leadership trainer with Blanchard International, a HADO trainer and teacher in metaphysics.
I'm passionate about
I would have to say my core passion is people, what shapes them and makes them tick, and how interconnected we create the most extraordinary and beautiful of tapestries.
An idea worth spreading
We live in a world in which there is much talk about corporate social responsibility, when in fact, true corporate social responsibility lies in creating and supporting companies that are built on sound principles and formed to serve a true need. Companies, their people and their approach, need to take into consideration their role as stewards, taking into account the level of influence they have in shaping the societies they create for generations to come. As individuals, more of us need to become aware of the process products and services go through to reach us and what impact they have on others, the environment and ourselves. We need to become more aware that with every purchase we make, we support systems we may not want to exist.
