Aniketh Mohan Rao

I was elected Vice President of the MSEL on the GSC and I actively listened to my cohort about their needs. As this is only the third batch of the MSEL class at Babson College, they felt that they had no particular event or club on which they had control. This is true as most of the leadership positions on all other clubs are given to MBAs due to their longer stay at Babson. I envisioned to organize a TEDx for Babson and got the ball rolling immediately. I did not want this event to be a one off but have a vision of creating a legacy for future MSELs to follow. I have carefully maintained a record of all the activities required to organize this event and will be in touch with students from the MSEL Class of 2018 to ensure that they have the ability to continue having this event. I applied for the TEDXBabsonCollege license through TED and went through a rigorous screening process. I was awarded the license in January 2018. I organized a submission round for the interested students from my MSEL class could fill to become part of the Management team of our TEDx venture. After going through the selection process, I had a group of enthusiastic classmates by my side working on this endaevour. A lot of interesting tales surround my amazing experience in organizing TEDx. I have always wanted to have the whole of Babson be involved on this project. I look forward to having a team of energetic undergrads in various positions on the team and have already set things in motion to arrange for the same. I will ensuring that there will be a lot of collaboration among the students on other fronts too.Being the lead organizer of TEDxBabsonCollege and driving this has given another dimension to my time and education at Babson. I look forward to the 22nd of April 2017 and will do everything in my power to ensure the success of TEDxBabsonCollege! *The actual end date will be 23rd of April 2017.
