I am a communications professional working in the area of education, mum to two brilliant kids and chairperson of the super LGBT+ youth advocacy organisation, BeLonG To. I love endurance running and campaigning for social justice issues.
I'm passionate about
I am passionate about creating platforms for people to have their voices heard, particularly marginalised young people. I have done this throughout my career in communications and voluntary work I do with children in care and LGBT+ young people.

The TED story
I am the licence holder for TEDxShannonED and hosted my very first TEDx event last year (2016). Our theme was Many Paths to Success and we had nine incredible speakers who spoke on topics as diverse as the mass customisation of learning; not taking no for an answer; making space for people with autism; and how education can help people overcome barriers. The event exceeded all of my expectations – it was a lot of work but completely worth every bit of it.
