Emily currently works for Heshima Kenya, an international nonprofit that provides protection, education, and empowerment for young, unaccompanied and orphaned refugee women and their children. As the manager of the social enterprise program, she works closely with Heshima artisans and partners to create uniquely beautiful textile products. When she's not busy getting creative with her team, she can be found enjoying hot yoga, Ethiopian food, or her latest read.
