About André
Bio
Member of the TED Emerging Innovators program, Designer, Technologist, Inventor. MBA.
I enjoyed a career building movie and entertainment websites starting back during the first dotcom wave. Among them, the official Lord of the Rings Trilogy website. 15 years of marketing and ops software projects later, I felt unsatisfied. I yearned to apply my skills to solving big problems that matter.
To that end, I’ve spent the last several years working on a modular construction system, more like legos than playmobile - simple and affordable - to address homelessness, refugees and the internally displaced at scale, globally. Having developed the Sosaba Construction System to be manufactured in mobile factories, we are now ready to work with the right partners to bring our solution to the masses. As a solution for long term, quality housing, yes, but also with an approach to community building that involves clinics, schools, businesses, and so much more.
I'm passionate about
Family, Innovation, Education, Heathcare, Entrepreneurship, UX, Technology, Urban Planning, Community, Materials Science, Change, Adventure Motorcycling.
An idea worth spreading
Construction supply chains are slow, unreliable, expensive and polluting. We must rethink and retool for local, green manufacturing and distribution that is inexpensive to build and maintain.
