Michael is an entrepreneur, growth strategist and resource mobilizer. He combines business, civic and academic resources to take on big challenges. He started his career in finance. He became an entrepreneur in the wellness and real estate sector. He is a fierce champion of making a positive impact. He was an early resource mobilizer for the Grameen Bank and Room to Read. He is a self proclaimed Toilet Hacker and is teamed up with the Toilet Board Coalition to secure sanitation for the 2.4 billion living without access to toilets. He also highly engaged in advancing the development of impact instruments to take on big challenges. He is a senior fellow at the Sorenson Impact Center, an associate fellow at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Decision Research Lab and a visiting scholar at the Blum Center at UC Berkeley. He is the co-author of Charity and Philanthropy for Dummies and Art's Principles: 50 years of hard-learned lessons in building a world-class professional services firm.
