I'm passionate about great ideas, thoughtful dialogue, equity and access, making and maintaining connections, and most importantly, education and community, including my faith community.

An idea worth spreading is the importance of making do-able and affordable the opportunity to care for our elders in our or their homes. While a struggle to juggle at times, the rewards are mostly intangible and innumerable. Assets to the process include dear friends, family, a supportive workplace and compassionate hospice team, and the creativity to seek resources where others seldom went (not to mention possible reduction in tax burden re: Medicare/Medicaid costs). This issue already affects millions - and as "boomers" age, the numbers launch exponentially... There are some things that families used to do and value - because they were the right things to do - regardless of what it meant in personal sacrifice. This is one family value we need to return to the table.
