The word 'victim' should never be used as a slur or insult. It simply means someone who has be harmed or injured by a crime. There is no shame in being a victim.

I have always loved listening to TED talks. In 2015, I realized I had an idea worth sharing and was accepted as a speaker at TEDxColoradoSprings 2015. I loved the dynamic exchange of ideas and camaraderie of the experience. I am a member of the third TED-Ed Innovative Educator cohort.
