Bio
Sher is an educator in the nonprofit space since 1991. She initially taught in downtown Los Angeles and today can be found in the classrooms in East Palo Alto and eastern Menlo Park. As her own stress level rose, Sher realized she needed to take better care of her own well-being while teaching in challenged, low performing schools. As a result of seeing health’s effect on performance, Sher founded Edu-Wellness, a nonprofit that provides wellness support to teachers in the lowest performing public schools in the Bay Area of Northern California.
Sher earned a bachelor's degree and a multiple subject teaching credential from University of Southern California and a master's degree in psychology, organizational development, from Chicago School. She later became a certified diet and nutrition coach and deepened her yoga practice through a 200-hour teacher training program.
