I am the Co-Founder and CEO of Xilva, the global digital forest marketplace. We aim to mobilize massive amounts of capital for forests in order to help mitigate the climate crisis. Using digital technologies, we bring transparency, ease and innovation to forest funding, as well as monitoring their ongoing development - we are the first to design such a platform specifically catering to the needs of capital providers. Forests are the most proven and scalable climate solution, and, if done right, forests provide important additional benefits such as increased biodiversity, cleaner water and social opportunity for local communities. Also, forests are beautiful and a joy to be in! I bring 25 years of experience successfully building digital business to the table, in order to digitize, professionalize and simplify processes for capital providers. My personal vision is that with Xilva we enable more and better forests at massive scale around the globe. My background: Early partner and executive in digital consultancy Namics AG - largest in Switzerland, and having a strong position in Germany - grew the company from 7 to 550 employees, successfully exited to dentsu Inc. in 2018. Strong financial services industry experience, expertise in creating digital customer experience and in agile methodologies. Angel investor in multiple B2B SaaS businesses. I am also the founder and president of TEDxZurich, which has run annually since 2010.

Looking at failure the way the aviation industry does: As an opportunity and obligation for learning and improving. In aviation, this approach has been spectacularly successful, with commercial aviation being the safest mode of transportation today, after it being really risky a couple of decades past.
