Bio
Dr. Brandon Inabinet is Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Furman University, who teaches courses in Argumentation, Advocacy, and Rhetoric. He serves as Coordinator of the Affiliate Faculty for Sustainability, as the President of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) in South Carolina, the Chair of the Furman Humanities Development Fund, and he won the Janice Hocker Rushing Early Career Research Award in Communication Studies. Published research includes work on honor cultures and proslavery rhetoric, southern Agrarian and sustainable advocacy, and theories of circulation and civil argument in social media and the public sphere.
