From battlefield experience in the British Army to investigating murderers, human traffickers, kidnappers, terrorists & robbers in law enforcement to training 6000 corporate staff across the UK……..Fabian draws on these many skills & experiences to develop the most creative promotional & media strategies that have won the admiration of many well-known celebrity clients. Special Forces trained & awarded with Freedom of the City of London, Fabian has been sought out by some very well-known household name celebs in recent years to create their media strategies. After a closed-door meeting in the USA discussing strategy with someone who worked on the social media aspects of President Obama's first campaign, Fabian found he had a natural aptitude for promoting and protecting clients’ interests online. From reputation management, Fabian then moved his expertise into media consultancy, speaking on stage around the world on Marketing and Brand Awareness and more recently as a panellist at the BETT Futures conference, ExCel, London. Fabian has a diverse career portfolio ranging from his experience as a Training Mgr for a UK company with 6,000 employees, developing & delivering training nationally. As a HR Manager, Fabian was also a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (Chartered MCIPD). His policing career spans 2 forces. Fabian policed the UK’s second busiest City in uniform, later becoming a Detective with the C.I.D. working in some of the roughest areas of the U.K. He’s worked on murders, suicides in prison, large scale fraud, human trafficking cases, robberies, shootings, rapes, all sorts of sexual offences, domestic abuse, even investigated police officers….you name it, he investigated it. Fabian was seconded to the Counter Terrorist Unit to work on some of the UK’s highest profile national security investigations. Upon leaving the police, Fabian established Be Assured Investigations as a private investigation agency focusing primarily on clients in the media spotlight. His speciality was conducting security risk assessments and dealing with reputation management & surveillance, advising the U.K. government over the regulation of the private security industry. His military experience spans 3 army regiments from the infantry to the yeomanry, being trained by UK Special Forces. Fabian has amassed a wealth of experience in dealing with both online & offline PR & media strategies, developing contacts in the media and the sought after ability to get clients on to the TV & radio. Whilst working on the News of The World Phone Hacking investigation for a well-known client, Fabian also released a book related to Social Media intelligence which became an Amazon bestseller. I enjoy helping others and seeing a change in results; seeing others have those takeaway 'lightbulb' Aha moments. That really drives my passion for helping in the community also. Everyone has questions, whether about their personal life or business and they don't realise that most of the time, the answers lie within. It's great to see the moments of realisation when people realise they knew all along and all we have done is just facilitate that information coming to the forefront.

I'm a great believer that anyone can accomplish anything; that we all have those necessary skills inherent within us. It just comes down to who is willing to spend more time practicing and perfecting their skills.

I came into TED from my background in corporate training & development. I used to enjoy listening and watching some of the TED talks online. These provided a wonderful insight into specific subject matters within the training programmes i was developing. It certainly helped me to pioneer several techniques. Then i realised that TED is multi-disciplinary and there's a TED talk for almost every topic you could imagine. Having watched so many TED and TED-Ed talks, it's always been a goal to host a local TEDx event bringing in some of the modern day thought leaders representing the local diverse community.

Strategising and problem-solving. Once there's a clear direction in place and focus, it's very easy to reach a successful conclusion. From my diverse career portfolio and experience i seem to have acquired a multi-disciplinary set of core skills that enable me to cross-function between industries and see solutions that don't readily present themselves to others.
