Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo

With over 9 years of experience in Ghana, USA and UK, Cynthia’s expertise spans public relations and affairs, digital media, strategic, corporate and crises communications, marketing, advocacy, media relations, brand and business development. Until her recent appointment as Client Services Director of Now Available Africa, a digital advertising agency, Cynthia managed the Public Relations Department of Global Media Alliance. There, she oversaw the largest division of the company with a varied portfolio of over a dozen high profile clients across sectors including: telecoms, finance, manufacturing, technology, tourism, food and beverages, fast moving consumer goods, aviation and government; turning several millions in yearly revenues. Cynthia was previously the Marketing Manager of Silverbird Ghana where she led communications, sales, promotions, branding, and events. In the US, she worked with Vox Global, a Fleishman Hilliard company, Smoak Public Relations, American University Washington College of Law, WAMU Radio, and Saving Promise advocacy. At these companies, she worked for clients including Fortune 500 companies’, AT&T and Nissan, as well as non-profits and other corporates. In the UK, she liaised with pharmaceutical companies on behalf of her employer, DP Mark. As a communications consultant, Cynthia worked for clients in the media, hospitality, government, health, non-profit and technology sectors in Ghana. In 2014/15 she initiated and coordinated a Rockefeller Foundation funded pan-African media conference in Italy for the African Media and Malaria Research Network. In her early career, Cynthia also worked with Shawbell Consulting and Ghana Ministry of Communications. With a masters in Professional Communication from Clemson University, USA, and a bachelors in Economics from KNUST, Kumasi; Cynthia speaks English, Twi, Ga, French, and Adangme with varying levels of fluency. In her spare time, Cynthia co-organises the Rush Community Basketball Tournament and is the communications and external relations leader for TEDxAccra.
