Bio
I ran away from the circus to join the science. After a childhood in rural Ohio, my folks took us to the Pacific Northwest where I went hiking every day with my 160lb dog Arlo. At the Pike Place Market, my father was a busker and my mother was an artist, summers and weekends were music festivals and social activism. I started at community college to Univ. of Washington to UCLA to UC Davis, working my way into becoming a leading expert in mothers, lactation, and infants. First became faculty at Harvard before joining the Science Party in the Desert at ASU because of the new Center for Evolution and Medicine. I've learned to curse less on the internet.
