Hayley began studying the piano at the age of 9 and went on to gain a place at Chetham’s School of Music when she was 11. Since then she has been an active performer, playing across the country as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist. Appearances include solo performances at the Bridgewater Hall, The Sage, Gateshead and on BBC Radio and well as performances at BBC Proms and at the Royal Festival Hall. As a competition participant she was chosen as one of five of the top young pianists in the country to compete in the BBC Young Musician of the Year Category Final, won first prize at the Beethoven Junior Intercollegiate Piano Competition and a prize winner at Bromsgrove International Musicians Competition 2017. She is also the recipient of various awards including The Vernon Farley Piano Prize, The Peter Donohoe Prize and has also gained praise for her skills as an accompanist by winning both The Marjorie Pennington Prize for Accompaniment and the The James Oncken Song Prize for Accompanist. As an orchestral pianist Hayley has appeared at prestigious venues across the country under Edward Gardner, Sir Mark Elder, Paul Mann, Gábor Tákacs-Nagy & En Shao. Hayley made her concerto debut with the Northern Chamber Orchestra in 2013 as part of the Britten centenary festival and has since performed as a concerto soloist with the Vacation Chamber Orchestra, Athenean Ensemble and St Cecelia Orchestra. She has also performed for many prestigious musicians including Kathryn Stott, Stephen Hough, Richard Goode, Philippe Cassard, Robert Levin and Martin Roscoe. In 2015 Hayley was offered posts as staff pianist for both Northern Ballet and The Royal Ballet School, which she accepted. Hayley has also had the privilege of appearing as a guest artist and speaker at Thinking Digital, The Sage, TedX Liverpool, Manchester and Whitehall at the Foreign Office. In 2017 she was named on the Futures List for Northern Power Women UK. After embarking as a scholar student on the 3 year intensive BMus at the RNCM, Hayley completed her degree with First Class Honours in 2016 with generous support from The Helen Mackanass Award, The Clayton Family and as a Supported Artist with Yamaha Music Group Europe. She is now the Student Union President at the RNCM during which time she has founded the RNCM Film Orchestra. Hayley studies with Miss Dina Parakhina Masters Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma (Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire).
