Bio

Born 1950, Berkeley, California. Raised mostly in Los Angeles. 30 years experience in public relations, communications, mostly for non-profit organizations, good causes, social change, environmental initiatives, special films (documentaries and features) and books, and technology. Highlights of my PR work: helping the Dalai Lama for decades when he comes to America, part of the PR team for "An Inconvenient Truth," helped create and then promote the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, worked on many controversial and cutting edge film campaigns - from Who Killed the Electric Car to the Last Temptation of Christ to Gasland.. Also headed communications at Microsoft 1995-96. New York City resident since 1996. Current focus areas are special outreach campaigns around documentary and feature films, environmental protection, human rights, gay rights, integrative health practices, wisdom meets new media. Recent projects: PBS 5-part special - "Women, War & Peace," campaign for the films, "The Whistleblower" about human sex trafficking; "Race to Nowhere," and "Connected," Author of the spiritual anthology - THE TAO OF NOW: Daily Wisdom from Mystics, Sages, Poets, and Saints. Longtime student of Zen and Tibetan Buddhism, meditation.
