I am an energy architect and entrepreneur. I am currently focussed on speeding the construction of a clean energy supergrid. I am also Chairman of quietrevolution, which I co-founded in 2003 to develop and market a range of elegant small-scale vertical-axis wind turbines. Im interested in innovation which brings technology and business together to create elegant products which change the world. I started out by training as an architect and working for leading architecture and engineering firms before creating my own energy-in-architecture consultancy, XCO2. My personality type in Myers-Briggs is INTJ - and the descriptions of this type seem to describe me surprisingly well! It means Im interested in ideas from a utilitarian perspective: "what matters is getting it done.. efficiently and well"; that Im extremely persistent: "put forth a great deal of time and effort to implement effective ideas", "give little thought to the personal cost of getting there", "known for efficiency"; and also that Im a good strategist: "better than any other type at brainstorming approaches to situations" [from Keirsey interpretation of type]
