Passionate about education and nonprofit, Alonda recently shifted her career focus from High Tech to Nonprofit . As an Education Technology leader at Microsoft, she saw first hand how many opportunities existed for innovation in both k12 and higher education. She is now on a journey to use her knowledge, leadership and unique collaborative style to accelerate innovation in education with a focus on improving student success. She believes that investing in innovation in education will generate exponential returns for the community and society at large. Background Alonda Williams is a 20 year leader and award winning marketing strategist with a history of high performance across consumer, enterprise, public sector and small business. She is known for being an innovative strategist yet disciplined tactician. She has deep expertise in integrated marketing, customer/student journey mapping, digital marketing strategy, loyalty , social media and retention and CRM. She started her career in direct marketing and it has expanded to include focus on several disciplines . Alonda has domain expertise in education, software (SAAS), Cloud, wireless and entertainment industries. As a dedicated people leader, Alonda has managed, mentored and coached the careers of hundreds of professionals. She uses this experience to teach business classes to undergraduate and graduate students. A masterful connector, Alonda enjoys using her deep network to make valuable connections wherever needed. A successful author, Alonda's best-selling children's book series has received critical acclaim and Amazon best-seller status. The Penny and the magic puffballs series is beloved by parents and children alike. Through her publishing company, children's books and public service, Alonda has created a personal platform around empowerment and speaks often about building self-esteem in girls
