I work at Qatar University as "Volunteer Program Specialist" I'm responsible of designing, planning, organizing and implementing volunteer activities and community engagement programs and projects for students and the Qatari community, My work requires to apply inside-class learning outcomes to actual outside-class activities. I have a passion to create learning opportunities for my community. I adopt ideas that make the community better, but also give its members an experience in innovative service-learning. I was one of the founders of "TimeBank" initiative in Qatar. The project gave "time" a value and brought thousands of youth to be part of the project and its programs and activities. It gave them opportunities to exchange time for the sake of better community involvement. The project was awarded the best volunteering project in Qatar 2013. I was part of the organizing team of TEDxQatarUniversity for 3 years, and I’m currently the co-organizer of TEDxAlDafnaED. I'm always passionate to push people to learn more about the ideas that TED and TEDx are sharing around the globe. I'm also passionate about planning opportunities for students and young people to learning through community engagement in different activities and projects that are designed and based in service-learning. It inspires me to watching the members of my community developing and becoming change-makers.
